"I cannot thank Sophia enough for the early access to this course during the set up stage of our CIC venture. This course has been vital to helping us develop our fundraising plans. The worksheets and templates are the perfect tools to do things correctly and then to have the list of potential funders to approach is more than I could have wished for. This course has saved us time, reduced the mistakes we would have made and is allowing us to approach funders in a more professional and planned manner."

Jason Maskell, Founder, Life Force CIC
"I can't recommend this course highly enough.....As a result of this training, I have been inspired to start my own charity - I can't thank Sophia enough and really hope to continue to work with her in the future."

I highly recommend this course if you are not sure how the funding works and you would like to have step by step guidance on how to write a fundraising application using the most recent research and stats. You would also get some creative ideas in how to build up partnerships with other agencies to develop new funded projects and a supportive group who are happy to share ideas and resources!"

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I need extra support?
You have access to Fundraising for Good students in our private Facebook community where you'll also be able to ask Clear Sky questions.

If you need a coaching session once you've started the course it's possible to organise a one to one session. Just get in touch via the private Facebook group.
Do I need to register as a CIC or charity to benefit from this course?
You don't need to register as either a CIC or a charity if you don't want to. There are benefits to both set ups, but each come with additional responsibilities.

If you don't have plans to run your own CIC or charity you can partner with a local organisation that does have a charitable status and fundraise together. This way you can get funding for a project where you deliver the services but don't have the responsibility of managing the grant. This is entirely possible and often the best use of time and resources!
Is this suitable for me if I don't have a business?
Yes! This is the perfect starting point if you don't yet have a business set up, or if you're a sole trader delivering services. If you do something that benefits people, society or communities this course is perfect for you!

How long will the course take me?
The course can be worked through at your own pace. The modules are broken down into easy to manage chunks. Each module will take up to an hour to watch and around one further hour of research and 'homework'. I recommend working through it in 4 weeks so you can take action immediately!
Can you help with setting up a CIC or charity?
We recommend that you speak with our partners Taylor Vinters law firm if you need specific legal advice about setting up a CIC. They host free virtual pop ups to talk abour your idea!

What if I don't have a project idea?
In the course you'll be guided to think about how to set up a project. This is not something that comes naturally to everyone, and especially when we have been trained to work in just one specific model in our work it can be hard to think outside the box. Use the learning and the Facebook community to try out your new ideas for fundraising!
